| | ......... just one of those things i couldnt get a cannon right in the trees so put it out in the open and ......... well you the rest of the story caught a main g tank by surprise at the very start | Opponent's AAR By: Mousegrey
| | Groesbeek LZ. Things went pretty well but when I failed to take out remaining enemy armour halfway the game I knew it would become difficult to hold on to the vls. Scenario played out very well. TT went on locating my inf and spraying it with armour fire. Sneaking up an out of PF-aufie team wasnt smart either. Allied victory was imminent and TT didnt make the mistake that I hoped for... Random AARs By: Homba Opponent: Ocelotl Date: 2009-10-10| 2009 Fall Tourney Round 4. Oce had G in game 1, after the first half, I lead about 13-3 in football terms. My recons held like mad at the VLs, and my 2 mortars were hurting his inf. But the second half saw Oce slowly reel it back in, gaining position and momentum. Excellent maneuvering with a Panther down by the ruin eventually cost me 3 tanks to his sniping. His massive amount of inf would not be put down, and they kept coming. He had 3 inf mortars that slowly did their work, as did a flamer. Finally his markIV got my last tank. It was over. A good turning of the tide in a 2 hour struggle. Game 2 saw me with the G. I sent two waves of inf rushing through the woods, while my mortar lobbed smoke just in front of the allied start zone. Two markIIIs and 3 HFPs followed the infantry through the woods. Five minutes of mayhem insued. We began to overrun the enemy infantry positions with heavy casualties on both sides. A 76 and stuart were quickly dispatched in the north corner, at the cost of 1 markIII. But Oce was not paralyzed. He Rolled a 76 down into the south field, to get clear distance between him and the HFPs. This tank fired continuously with twisted turret, knocking out a markIII and HFP as it gained the SE corner. I manuevered my remaining 2 HFPs and infantry southward. A wild faust fly at the tank, missing. Out roared the HFPs from behind their tree cover, but Oce nailed one immediately. And there was a good deal of infantry to confuse my last tank in the field. I got in range of the 76, but he took out the main gun. It was all over. Great fun, but not quite a win. Oce kept his head and prevailed. A creeping zook and infantry flamethrower would have made life interesting for the HFP even if the 76 had burned. My inf was shredded, the survivors withdrew leaving the heights to Oce. Good games! |
